Bio

Benhard Bergen, age 82, of Henderson died Friday, September 24, 2004 at Henderson. He was born April 9, 1922 in York County, NE., to Dietrich and Elizabeth (Ott) Bergen. He was a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson and enjoyed listening to music. He is survived by two sisters, Luette Nunnenkamp and Rosella Bergen both of Henderson and 14 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers, Willard, Ernest and Alfred Bergen, including 4 who died in infancy. Also preceding him in death were 5 sisters, Eva Bergen, Lizzie Bergen, Martha Critel, Mildred Bergen and Justina Critel, and 3 brother-in-laws. Funeral services were Monday at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson with the Rev. George Kaufman officiating. Burial was in the Bethesda Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Bethesda Radio Broadcast.
