Carol Susan Striplin, 73 Obituaries for March 17, 2010 Union Democrat, The (Sonora, CA) - Wednesday, March 17, 2010 Nov. 16, 1936 -- March 10, 2010 Tuolumne County resident Carol Susan Striplin died March 10 at a Sonora hospital after a long illness. She was 73. She was born in Los Angeles. She and her family moved to Tuolumne County in 1972. She was a homemaker who enjoyed making home-cooked meals. She enjoyed her walks and traveling around the county with her husband, a local artist, as he sketched and painted Tuolumne County's scenery on location. Her family said she was known for her laughter and her jokes, which she shared with family, old friends and new acquaintances. She is survived by her husband of more than 53 years, Ernest Merl Striplin, of Tuolumne; her daughter, Lisa Domser, of Tuolumne; her son, William Striplin, of Fayetteville, Ark.; grandchildren, Aaron Batt, of Atascadero, Andrea "B" Batt, of Sonora, Samantha Domser, Tyler Domser, and Austin Domser, all of Tuolumne, Kyle Striplin, Logan Striplin, and Sydney Striplin, all of Arkansas, Joshua Stevens, of Tuolumne, Alex Smith, of Columbia, and Adam Smith, of Sacramento; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ethel Fults, and her eldest daughter, Linda Susan Striplin, who died in December 2009. A private graveside service will be held at a future date. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
