Helen Marie Kerlin, 88, of Taylor passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Scott & white Hospital in Round Rock. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, March 9, 2010 with the Rosary at 7 PM at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Mass will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Msgr. Lonnie Urban officiating. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery. Helen was born August 9, 1921 in Hare, Texas to John and Mary (Grieger) Mikus. She was an active member of St. Mary's Church. She was also a member of the KJZT and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Helen loved watching and attending sporting events. She was a proud fan of the Taylor Ducks Sports. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert Kerlin; one sister, Lendy Benad; and brother, Jesse Mikus. Helen is survived by her son Kelby Kerlin and wife, Shalene of Taylor; daughter, Sue Taylor and husband, Barry of Winters; grandchildren, Kelly Kerlin and wife, Stephanie, Kylie Kerlin, Allison Threadgill and husband, Sam, Adam Taylor and wife, Brià, and Aaron Taylor and wife, Nicole; great-grandchildren, Ella and Chloe Kerlin, and Madison and Corbin Threadgill. Pallbearers will be Kelly Kerlin, Sam Threadgill, Adam Taylor, Aaron Taylor, Jimmy Stork, Calvin Janak, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are Ivan Leschber and David Lawrence.
