Bio
The Rev. Weldon T. Bell died on Monday, July 30, 2018, at 4:28 a.m. in Mesquite, Texas. He was 89 years old and was surrounded by his loving family during his last days. Weldon was born on November 21, 1928, in Buffalo, Texas. He married Clarice on December 18, 1948, after a 10-day courtship and they lived in Dallas, Texas for over 50 years. Weldon loved the Lord and dedicated his life to helping people develop a relationship with God. Referred to as a modern day "Paul" by friend, Dr. W.A. Criswell, Weldon was a beloved Baptist Pastor while also being a respected Master Electrician. Successful in his professional life, he retired at age 82. He had a deep love for his entire family and a special place in his heart for all of his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He loved spending time with them and they thought the world of him. The memories they have of their Pawpaw will be cherished and remembered often. He is survived by his sons Larry (Connie) and Jerry (Cheryl), both of Mesquite. Weldon also leaves behind his sisters Mamie & Mary Jo of Centerville, Texas, and his brother Jerry (Alice) of Leona, Texas. Pawpaw is also survived by his grandchildren Jennifer (Allen), Suzannah (Brad), Jason (Misty), Weldon (Susie), Jeremy (Barbara), Nathan, Daniel (Erica) and Rodney. He was also blessed with wonderful great grandchildren Masin (Brittany), Dolton (Shelby), Noah (Tasha), Alesha, Livie, Jordan, Mackenzie, Shelby, Tyler, Zachary, Elijah, Caden, Landon, Walker, Seth, Isaac, Lexi, Christian, Will, Emma, Brandt, Jacob, Karlee, and great great grandchildren Stetson, Texas, Aubrey, Bethany. Weldon was preceded in death by his wife, Clarice, his infant children, Anthony Gene, Ella Dean, and Linda May, his parents, Ernest and Lina, sister Evey Ruth, brothers Roy, Cecil, Frank, Wallace Rae, and Wendell, and grandson Keith.
