Bio

Robert (Bob) Christian Landfried 9/29/46 – 8/10/17 Robert (Bob) passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2017. He was born in Olympia, WA on September 29, 1946 to William and Geraldine Landfried. Bob was the oldest of 2 children. The family moved to Tooele, Utah in 1962 where Bob graduated from Tooele High in 1965. Bob joined the Utah National Guard in 1980 and retired with honors after 25 years of service. Bob married the love of his life, Loretta, on November 21, 1987. Bob took in and loved Loretta’s two sons as if they were his own and helped to raise their first grandchild (Shea (Sly) Mair). Bob loved spending time with family and friends and was a former president at the Tooele F.O.E. Bob will be deeply missed by countless friends and family. Bob is preceeded in death by his parents, William and Geraldine Landfried; his in-laws, Rex and Shirley Chase; Sita Swann (niece); and Tina Ballow (niece). Bob is survived by his loving wife, Loretta; (step-son) Ryan Worwood (Mardi); (step-son) Brandon Worwood;(sister) Janice Swann (Mike); (sister-in-law) DeEtte McWilliams (Jim); (brother-in-law) Mark Chase (Julie); (cousin) Nina Nelson, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-granddaughters. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Tooele Cemetery. Luncheon will be served at the Eagles Lodge immediately following the graveside service.
