Bio
Hilma Christine Rayshell May 3, 1933 - March 6, 2014 Hilma Christine Rayshell went to be with the Lord March 6, 2014. She was born May 3, 1933 in Daughtery, TX to Guy and Balmy (Lennon) Holman. She married Charles Eugene Rayshell on December 29, 1950 and they were blessed with two sons, Charles E. Rayshell, Jr. and Robert Victor Rayshell. Hilma graduated from Central State College (now UCO) in the spring of 1971 with a BA in English. She was an active member of Portland Avenue Baptist Church since 1960. She was honored and proud to be a member of the Singing Church Women of Oklahoma for 12 years. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend who loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart, soul and mind. Her favorite scripture verse was: "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:8. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Holman and Balmy (Lennon) Holman; brothers, Ernest and Arlie Holman; and sisters, Della Holman Gray, Estelle Holman Potts and Mildrid Holman Martin. Survivors include her sisters, June Holman Hubble and Juanice Holman Simmons; husband, Charles Rayshell; sons, Chuck and Robert Rayshell; daughter-in-law, Jenifer Rayshell; and favorite grandson, Drake Mackenzie Rayshell. Family will receive friends at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK from 4-6pm Sunday, March 9. Services will be on Monday, March 10 at 11am at Portland Avenue Baptist Church, 1301 N. Portland, Oklahoma City. A memorial service will be at Daughtery Baptist Church, Daughtery, Texas at 1:00 Tuesday, March 11.
