The Daily Sentinel (Grand Junction, Colorado), 27 Jul 1987, Mon, Page 9 Clarence E. Kennedy Aug. 29, 1900 - July 24, 1987 Clarence E. Kennedy of Paonia died Friday at the Delta County Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. He was 86. Mr. Kennedy was retired from operating a shoe and saddle repair shop. He was born Aug. 29, 1900, in Hamburg, Iowa, to John and Jessie Kennedy. He lived in Hamburg, eastern Nebraska and in Burlington, Colo., where the family homesteaded. He also lived in Brush, Kremmling, Snyder, Longmont and Eagle before moving to Paonia in 1975. He married Ardath E. Harmon on Sept. 9, 1939, in Denver. She survives. Mr. Kennedy enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a former member of the International Order of the Odd Fellows. One brother and two sisters are deceased. Cremation has taken place and no memorial services are scheduled. Taylor Funeral Service of Paonia is in charge of arrangements.
