Bio
Sarah was born and raised her family in Speedwell, Tn. Her husband, Thomas, her parents, and children that preceded her in death are buried in the Cain Cemetery in Speedwell, but the rising waters of Norris Lake took their home and the remaining family members were forced to move. Sarah moved with her son William's (Billy) family and her son Forster to Luttrell, Tennessee. According to William's youngest daughter, Sarah drew Thomas' Civil War pension in the amount of $19.00 a month. She lived with Billy's family until her death in 1940. Sarah Cain Clawson is buried close to her son Forster and Billy's wife Mary Ausmus Clawson. ~~ Bio & family links provided by: Kathy #47134027
