Dean Clark Cole, of Deming, New Mexico, born Dec. 30, 1937, passed away on July 26, 2016, following an auto accident that occurred 16 days earlier. Dean is survived by his wife Fay Cole, his daughter Susan King (apple of his eye), son-in-law Paul King of Dallas, Texas, and his brother Earl Cole of Tooele, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Hulda Cole of Tooele and his sister-in-law, Rita Cole. Dean was born in Provo, Utah and graduated from Tooele High in 1956. He went on to earn a degree from Westminster College. He married Jessie Fay Judd of Tooele on Nov. 6, 1959. Dean pursued a career in the computer industry where he retired in 1995. Dean started a hobby in ham radio at age 12 and enjoyed that hobby until his death. His knowledge of engineering, computers and mathematics allowed him to create many computer programs that are enjoyed by the entire ham radio family. Dean had many friends, many of which he met over his ham radio. Dean enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hunting, and fishing which he shared with his wife, Fay, as well as his brother Earl and sister-in-law Rita. Dean’s ham radio hobby strongly influenced Dean and Fay’s choice of places to live, which were many over the years. They lived in Utah, Colorado, Texas, Arizona and finally settled in New Mexico in 2005. Dean was a devoted husband, father, brother and son. Dean will be missed by his family, friends, and the entire ham radio community. A private funeral service was held for the family.
