Troy Lee Pope (Pop Pop) of McKinney, Texas died on August 15, 2020 at the age of 76. He was born on December 24, 1943 to Elemer Lee Pope and Jaunice Imogene (Daniel) Pope in Healdton, Oklahoma. Troy married Laurine June McLaughlin on May 9, 1975 in Durant, Oklahoma. He was a Blue Water Vietnam Navy Veteran, worked in the oil and gas industry and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an avid NASCAR fan, Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for the last 33 years. Troy is survived by **living omitted** He was preceded in death by his parents, Elemer and Jaunice Pope and brother, Davey Pope. A come-and-go visitation will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Please note, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at a time to maintain social distancing. A graveside service, with Navy Military Honors, will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 10:30 am, at Wilson Chapel Cemetery, 100 Chapel Lane, Lowry Crossing, Texas 75069. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St Jude Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
