Bio
Delores K. Schlienz 89 of Lincoln, NE died August 13, 2020, at The Tabitha Journey House. Born January 4, 1931 to Henry and Anna (Thiele) Venteicher in Elgin, NE. She married Joseph Schlienz on October 18, 1949. She retired from Minnegasco, Columbus, NE in 1994 and moved to Lincoln, where she enjoyed cooking for the school lunch programs at North American Martyrs and Saint Joseph Catholic Schools. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and was especially well known for her homemade cinnamon rolls and apple pie. She also spent time quilting, crocheting and playing cards. Survivors include Son Wally (Nadine) Schlienz of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Daughters Kathy (Ronald) Casper of Lincoln, NE, Mary (Greg) Reisdorff of Lincoln, NE, Grandchildren Kim (Arlando) Burrell, Craig (Jamie) Schlienz, Stefanie (Jamie) Boutard, Kristin (Bert) Unger, Erin (Troy) Werkmeister, Amy Clapper, Jenny (Dan) Samson, Joey (Christa) Reisdorff, Justin Reisdorff, 23 Great Grandchildren, many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by husband Joseph, daughter Dorothy, parents Henry & Anna, Brothers Clem, Bud and Leo Venteicher, Sisters Angela Kavadas, Mary Goedde, Christina Zechmann, Rose Waslager, Monica Venteicher, Agatha Holub, Josephine Arnberger. Visitation will be Sunday 3-9pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm both at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday 8-17-2020 at 10:00am at North American Martyrs Catholic Church, 1101 Isaac Drive, Lincoln, NE 68521. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Family for later designation. Officiating will be Father Brian Connor. Burial will be at St. Leonard Catholic Cemetery, Madison, NE at 2:30pm Monday.
