Mrs. Milbra Jane Chapman of Jacksboro, a former resident of Denton County, died in Flow Memorial Hospital at 12:45 p.m., Monday. She was 53 years old. Furneral services will be held at the Jacksboro Methodist Church today at 2 p.m. and interment will be in Iowa Park Cemetery. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Sparks, Mrs. Chapman was born Jan 19, 1903. She was a graduate of Denton High School and of NTSC. She taught school in Denton County and was active member of the Jacksboro Methodist Church after her marriage. Survivors include her husband, M.C. Chapman, and daughter Marilyn Sue, of Jacksboro; a son, Carroll, and granddaughter, Linda Sue, of Fort Worth; four sisters, Mrs. Olia James of Norman, Okla., Mrs. Ethel Gibbons of Argyle, Mrs. Ruth George of Denton and Mrs. Amanda Lange of Wichita Falls. Also surviving Mrs. Chapman are two brothers, Frank Sparks of Denton and Raymond Sparks of Pilot Point. Published in Denton Record-Chronicle on March 27, 1953, Page 3, Col. 3.
