Son of the late L.E. Hampton Arrangements by Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home ∼ The Daily Post Athenian 4/3/2015 Mark Allen Hampton, 47, of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Starr Regional Medical Center. He was a native and resident for most of his life of McMinn County, and was preceded in death by his father, L.E. Hampton; and sister, Linda Vojtech. Mark was a union ironworker and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his wife, Sherri Hampton of Athens; son, Casey Allen Hampton of Athens; daughter, Haley DeAnne Hampton of Athens; mother, Rosezella Howard Hampton of Athens; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Billy Hampton of Athens, Kenneth and Jacqueline of Loudon, and Luther Hampton, Jr.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Janice and Wayne Brazzell of Athens, and Susie and Jay Vaughn of Philadelphia; two grandsons, Noah Allen Hampton and Kian Jace Cole; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Casey Allen Hampton, Jeremie Brazzell, Joey Brazzell, Adam Nunley, Taylor Schultz, Luke Hampton, Glenn Schultz, and William Schultz.
