Barbara Jones 1944 - 2014 BARBARA LEE JONES, cherished and beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away November 24, 2014. She was born June 21, 1944 in Greenville, TX, to GW and Gertie Luckett. She grew up in the Oak Cliff part of Dallas, TX, and graduated from Sunset High School in 1962. She married Jon Jones on December 20, 1975, and they moved to Greenwood Forest in 1979. She was active on the Greenwood Forest Board of Directors and various committees. She was a frequent participant in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo trail ride. She was a collector of antiques, linens, and the eclectic with a shop in the Shabby Rose of Spring, TX. Barbara was predeceased by her Father, GW Luckett. She is survived by: her husband of 39 years, Jon Jones; mother, Gertie Luckett of Canton; daughters, Debbie Lon and partner Harold Porter and Dena Boshears and husband David; son, Hunter Jones of Lubbock; brother, Jerry Luckett and wife Sherry of Tyler; sister, Janice Irwin and husband Paul of Canton; Sister-in-law, Jan Nickey and husband Dr. Larry Nickey of El Paso; grandchildren, Dallas Trull, Whitney Sandifer, Sydney Lon, and Garrett Boshears; various nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her very best friend, Polly Frisbee. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 29, at Klein Funeral Home, Champions. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
