Lincoln Journal Star: Web Edition Articles (NE) - Wednesday, July 10, 2013 Margaret Vera Fulton Butler Butcher, 97, of Lincoln, died July 7, 2013. Born October 5, 1915 in David City to Fenwick and Vera (Armstrong) Fulton. Graduated from Jackson High, in University Place, Neb. and attended the University of Nebraska. Worked for the gas company; was a homemaker; part owner of Bob's Market (a grocery store on 27th & Cornhusker founded by her father) and worked as a unit head for A.C. Nielson. Served as Board of Director for the Lincoln Women's Chamber of Commerce. Member Grace United Methodist Church and St. Mark's Methodist Church. She married H. David Butler Sept. 24, 1937. They raised three children. On Nov. 9, 1980 she married Clarke Butcher. Preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, H. David Butler (Jan. 5, 1968) and Clarke Butcher (Aug 2, 2002); one son, Richard "Rich" Butler; brothers, Forest, Norm and Bob Fulton, Lincoln, John Fulton, California; and sisters, Jean Patrick, Texas and Mary Novak, California. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Nancy & Patrick O'Brien; son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Judy Butler; and daughter-in-law, Carol Butler; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
