SUTTLES, Jimmie L., 75 of Springfield, went to be with the Lord, on May 2, 2006 in the Community Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born on October 27, 1930 in Bonny Blue, Virginia the son of Charles and Nellie J. (Salyers) Suttles. He retired from the Cascade Corporation after many years of service. Prior to working in Ohio he was employed by the Blue Diamond Coal Company in Kentucky. Jimmy was musically talented and could play many instruments and loved bluegrass music. His door was always open to all he knew and was willing to welcome a stranger to make them feel at home. He was truly a generous man and was devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Allie (Halcomb) Suttles whom he married on August 5, 1950. Jimmy is also survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Deborah Sue and Ronald Simmons of Urbana; Tracie Lynn and James Anthony of Springfield; and Melissa Diane and Joseph Dugan of Springfield; three sons and one daughter-in-law: Wayne and Veronica Suttles of Florida; Danny Suttles and his fiancé Vicki Miller of Cortland, Ohio, and Jimmie Doyle Suttles of Florida; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Hazel and Pete Peters of Georgia; and Lyla Mae "Dimples" and A.C. Spencer of Cincinnati; 12 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Betty Suttles and Emma Jo Suttles, several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles and Clarence
