Bio
Barbara Ann Garrett, 79 of Pensacola, Florida, went to her heavenly home on Monday, July 20, 2020. Barbara was born to Henry Dalton and Mittie Sanders on September 17, 1940 in Fayette, Alabama. She moved to Pensacola in 1960 when she married. Barbara was a Christian and actively involved in her church, Pensacola First Assembly of God with the Women’s Ministry and anywhere else she was needed. She loved the Lord and some said you could “feel” the Holy Spirit in her bedroom/prayer room. Barbara’s greatest legacy was her three girls; Elise, Tammie and Cheri. She was so proud of their accomplishments. She would beam with pride anytime she spoke about them. She enjoyed arts & crafts, gardening, reading, cooking and her little dog, Peppi. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Henry Dalton Sanders, mother, Mittie Mae Holcombe Sanders Aldridge, sister-in-law Bobbie Sanders. She is survived by her three daughters Elise (Terry) Williams, Tammie (Gary) Hull, Cheri (Danny) King; grandson Christopher Garrett; granddaughter Brittany King; her brother, Nolen Dean Sanders, three nieces, Becky (Jeff) Pollard, Dianne (Randall) Brown, Anita (Brent) Smalley families and other family and friends that she loved dearly. An intimate family service will be held on Friday July 24th at 10:00 am that will be live streamed from Pensacola Memorial Gardens with her pastor David Scruggs officiating.
