Wife of Ernest Edinger ∼ She was the daughter of Walter Elmer Moon and Vera Mae Maxfield. She married an Unknown Edlinger. She was the mother of Pam Edlinger (Buster) Scates. Obit: Tyler Morning Telegraph, 31 Jan 2014: Algia Dean Moon Edlinger joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Jan 30, 2014. She was born in Garden Valley on July 16, 1933 to Vera Mae Maxfield and Walter Elmer Moon. She graduated Van High School in 1950. Algia is survived by her daughter Pam (Buster, Scates, two grandsons Cody(Maryanne) Scates and Cole (Mollianna) Scates, and one great-grandson Cason Scates; sisters Gaillia (Jerry) Lang, Charlotte (Drew) McKinney, and Karen (Joe) Beam, and one brother Gary Lewis (Karen) Moon. Algia loved Jesus, her family and desserts! She was an effective and fervent prayer warrior for all of her family and friends. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today, Fraiday, Jan 31, 2014 at Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Van. Bruce Watson will officiate under direction of Hilliard Funeral Home.
