Bio

Born 18 Jan 1845 in Anderson District, South Carolina. He enlisted in Co E, 3rd Mississippi Calvary. He surrendered with his command at Gainesville, Alabama, in May 1865; came home, and went to work on his father's farm where he remained until Oct. 24, 1867, when he was married to Miss S. J. Hardin, of Chickasaw Co., Mississippi. Tom was licensed to preach at Old Hurricane Church in 1880 under the ministry of the Rev. Thos. J. Lowery and was ordained deacon at Waco, Texas, in 1892.
