Bio

Mrs. Hatfield Dead of Pneumonia. Mrs. Martha Hatfield, wife of J. M. Hatfield, passed away Thursday morning at 5 o'clock after siege of pneumonia following an attack of measles. She had reached the age of 50 years, and is survived by her husband, one daughter and two sons. The daughter, Miss Katie, and one son, Claybourne, are still at home, and the other son, T. A. Hatfield, lives in Heavener, from whence he arrived last Friday to attend the funeral. The funeral services were held Friday, and interment was in the Shady cemetery. -- The Mena Weekly Star , Mena, Arkansas, Thursday, February 7, 1918, page 3.
