Bio
Harvey Lee Artieschoufsky, 69, passed away February 14, 2006 at North Austin Medical Center. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2006 at Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of Life Services will be 10 AM, Friday, February 17, 2006 at Providence Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Beicke officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery. Harvey was born in Thorndale, Texas to Ida Artieschoufsky on December 29, 1936. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Thorndale. Harvey loved listening to polka music and waltzes, never missing on Sunday listening to the Vrazel's Polka Band playing. He was good with his hands and could build anything. His family has a lot of his work to remember him by and cherish. Harvey loved his dog Mitzi. He liked playing dominoes and watching figure skating. He was preceded in death by his mother Ida; his stepfather Herbert Laffere; his grandparents, Helen and Henry Artieschoufsky; two nephews, Stephen Ray Laffere and Andrew Paul Laffere. Harvey is survived by his brother, Gary Laffere and his wife, Marilyn of Thrall; niece, Karen Price, her husband, Joe and children, Kacy, Stephen, and Emily, all of Thrall; as well as many other loving cousins and other relatives. Pallbearers are Dennis Artieschoufsky, Donnie Artieschoufsky, Greg Artieschoufsky, Jimmie Sheppard, Kevin Randig, and Joe Price. Memorials may be made to the Stephen Laffere Scholarship Fund, c/o Thrall ISD, Thrall, Texas, 76578.
