Samuel “Sammy” Morgan Abel, born in Dallas, TX on November 10, 1950 was called home by our Lord on July 8, 2020. Sam was a lifelong resident of Texas, until recently when he moved to Florida. Sam grew up in Oak Cliff, graduating from Sunset High School in 1969; he later moved to Cedar Hill, where he lived until he retired and began traveling. Sam was a light to everyone he met, always ready with a joke and a warm smile. Sam loved being outdoors; fishing, camping, kayaking, observing local wildlife, and just relaxing. He loved God, his family, and his friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dyanne; brother, James, and his wife of 36 years, Kathy. He leaves behind his bride of ten years, traveling companion, and best friend, Donna; his daughter, Angela and her fiancé Aaron; his grandchildren, Kayla and Matthew; son, Sam and his wife, Katie; and his grandchildren, Jordan and her fiancé Cooper; Trey, and Kelley; his daughter, Tami and her husband, Wayne, and his grandchildren, Kadaen, Kylea, Kameron, and Kason.
