Mary Agnes Fojtik Cabla, 98, North Richland Hills, died Sunday, April 29, 2018. Mrs. Cabla was born March 15, 1920, in Jarrell to John and Agnes Ramancek Fojtik. She was raised in Jarrell before moving to Corpus Christi where she met and married Eugene H. Cabla. They farmed together for many years in the West Sinton area until his death. She enjoyed tending to her huge garden, canning, making kolaches and strudel, cooking and baking. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings, Albert (Veronica) Fojtik, Josef Fojtik, Emma Fojtik, Hermine (Anton) Janosek, John Fojtik, Adela (John) Drozd, Rudolph (Della) Fojtik, Lydia (Joe) Matysek, Jeanette (Raymond) Pospech, Marcella (Oliver) Till and Edwin Fojtik; and one great-granddaughter. Survivors include her children, Robert (Bonita) Cabla of Keller, Patricia (David) Coldiron of Houston and Gene (Rena) Cabla of Portland; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 3 at Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home. A graveside service was conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, May 4, at the Sinton Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Ritchea-Gonzales Funeral Home, Sinton.
