Services for Freda Nell Banks, 90, of Canton, are scheduled for 11 am Thursday, July 2, 2020, at the Canton Church of Christ with Blake O'Quin and Clayton Conway officiating. Interment will be in Rockhill Cemetery in Quitman. Mrs. Banks passed away June 28, 2020 in Winnsboro. She was born July 6, 1929 in the Rockhill community near Quitman to Milous Matthew and Myrtle Rhea Ingram Gilbreath. Nell grew up in the Rockhill community. She later lived in Paris for many years before retiring to Canton in 2005. She was a kind and sweet woman who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Nell was a member of the Canton Church of Christ. Mrs. Banks is preceded in death by her parents; son, Monty Banks; two daughters: Martha Fowler and Kathy Conway; and two brothers: Dick and Dale Gilbreath. Nell is survived by her son, Paul and Teresa Banks; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters: Wilda McKenzie and Mary Helen Stemler; and a son-in-law, Clayton Conway. Pallbearers will be Chantz Banks, Robert Conway, Cody Fowler, Bejia Fowler, Clay Conway, Stockton Cranek, Marty Banks and Colt Fowler.
