Published Fort Worth Star Telegram "Monroe B. Sirmon Furneral services for Monroe B. Sirmon, 67, were held here Wednesday at 3 p.m. in United Pentecostal Church. Officiating were the Rev. Royce D. Elms of Amarillo and the Rev. W. D. Harding of Meridian. Sirmon died in Amarillo Sunday after suffering a heart attack. He was born in DeWitt County October 5, 1904, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Sirmon and moved to Glen Rose in 1908 where he resided for 25 years. He moved to Amarillo in the early 1930's. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Amarillo. Survivors are his wife, the former Gracie Jackson of Walnut Springs; six sons, David, Steven and Danny of the home, Warren and Charles of Amarillo and C. D. of San Antonio; five daughters, Virginia and Joyce of the home, Sharron Poe of Amarillo and Sara and Kathy Wallingsford of Austin, one sister, Mrs. Allie Dempsey of Glen Rose; one brother, Wallace Sirmon of Weatherford, and 15....
