Bio
Mrs. Dixie Lee Cantrell, age 86 of Mineola, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2020 in Mineola. She was born on December 6, 1933 in Long Beach, California to the late Thurman Turney and Evie Ford Turney. She was a retired office manager with Texas Instruments and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Mineola. She was an avid gardener and a member of the Fannie Marchmen Garden Club. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Horace Cantrell and daughter, Laura Cantrell Bartone. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Bright and her husband Gary of Mineola; granddaughter, Candace Williams and her husband Joe of Tomball, Texas; grandsons, Casey Bright and his wife Lauren of Mineola, Jeremy Bartone and his wife Laura of Garland and Chris Bartone and his wife Sarah of Sudbury, MA and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at First Baptist Church in Mineola 204 N. Johnson St. Mineola, Texas 75773. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 at the church with Bro. Kendall Banks conducting. Interment will be at Cedar Memorial Gardens in Mineola.
