Franz-Reisch - The announcement of the approaching wedding of Henry P. Franz and Miss Minnie Reisch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Reisch, of 321 West Herndon street, was made yesterday afternoon at a party given at the Reisch home. The wedding will occur at the St. Peter and St. Paul's church, on Wednesday, January 23, 1907. The groom is well known in German society in the capitol city. He is secretary and treasurer of the Franz Brothers Packing company, and resides at 508 West Miller street. The bride is well known in society circles, being a musician of extraordinary talent. Friday, December 28, 1906, Daily Illinois State Register (Springfield, IL), P. 3 HENRY FRANZ DIED AFTER LONG ILLNESS Henry Franz, 220 West Carpenter street, died at 7 o'clock yesterday morning at St. John's hospital of a complication of diseases, after an illness of two months. Mr. Franz was secretary treasurer of the Franz Packing company and was born and reared in this city. He was 41 years of age and had resided in Springfield his entire life. He is survived by his widow, and two children, Mary Christine and Henry, Jr.; parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Franz, and four sisters. Mr. Franz was a prominent figure in Catholic circles and was a member of the SS. Peter and St. Paul's church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Catholic Union, St. Vincent's society and Elks. Funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday from the residence, 220 West Carpenter street, and at 9 a.m. from SS. Peter & Paul's Catholic church, Father Lubert Riesen officiating. Burial in Calvary.
