Hilda Elizabeth Lantzsch Hanson, aged 101 and ten months, of Taylor, Texas, peacefully passed to eternal life to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at the S.P.J.S.T. Retirement Center. She was born to parents Bruno and Wilhelmine (Fick) Lantzsch on March 28, 1919. She was one of nine children. She was baptized and confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in West Taylor. She was currently a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Taylor. Hilda attended Wilson Springs School in the Wilson Spring Community. Hilda married Walter W. Hanson, on October 15, 1938 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in West Taylor. They enjoyed farming together for over fifty years. She enjoyed fishing with Walter, making afghans, making quilt tops, and visiting with friends. Hilda was preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Augusta Raesze (Oscar), Mary Zushnick (Herman), Bertha Randig (Willie), and Hattie Raesze (Bill); brothers, Edward (Annete), Walter (Henrietta), Emanuel (Lena), as well as two infant brothers. Hilda is survived by her son, Walter Charles and wife, Patricia; three grandchildren, Stephen Hanson and wife, Elizabeth, Bradley Hanson and wife, Megan, and Kimberly Hines and husband, Kenneth; six great-grandchildren, Madison and Kendal Hanson, Cooper and Coby Hanson, and Courtney and Heather Hines; two sisters-in-law, Lena Lantzsch and Vera Roznovak. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers are Stephen Hanson, Bradley Hanson, Cooper Hanson, Kenneth Hines, Jr., Claude Roznovak, and Kevin Rosnovak. Honorary pallbearers are Edward Lantzsch, Johnny Magoney, Oscar Raesze, Raymond Raesze, Wayne Rosnovak, Bobby Anderson, Enno Rydstrand, Kenneth Hines, Sr., Harlan Jonn, and Nolan Werchan. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Taylor, or to the charity of your choice. The family also wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the S.P.J.S.T. Retirement Center for their loving and compassionate care. Hilda will lie in state for loved ones to visit on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, at 2 p.m., at the Providence Funeral Home.
