Charles Edward Walton, Sr., 71, of Garland, passed away on June 15, 2020. Burial will be at Mills Cemetery. Charles was born on May 17, 1949, in Jasper, Texas, to the late William Oren and Lera Faye Greer Walton. He lived in San Augustine, Texas, and moved to Dallas with his parents and siblings in 1958. He enjoyed time spent with family, loved music, fishing, watching the Dallas Cowboys with Mom, good food, and took pride in a job well done. He had a great sense of humor, a big heart, and helped anyone he could. He never met a stranger. On May 25, 1968, he married Linda Dianne McCary in Dallas. He loved his family very much and always provided. He was loved by many and with heavy hearts, he will be sorely missed. He was preceded in death by his brothers: William "Bill" Oren Walton Jr., Kenneth Gary Walton, and Jerry Dean Walton; sisters, Addie Lou Green, and Jeanett Rattliff. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Linda Dianne McCary Walton; son, Charles Edward Walton Jr; daughter, Teresa Ann Walton; granddaughter, Taylor Hawkins; grandsons: Patrick Gerald Hawkins, John Victor Hambrick, and Kevin Wayne Hambrick.
