Member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, King's Men, Third Order of St. Francis, Catholic Workmen and American Legion Post 3. One of the founders of Nebraska Czechs of Lincoln. Survivors: son, daughter-in-law, John R. and Alda, Omaha; daughters, Mary Ellen Cassner and husband Rodney, Susan Lorenzen, all Lincoln; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; sister-in-law, Helen Tomek, Lincoln. Preceded in death by his wife, "Madge." Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 31st and S streets. Father Thomas Walsh. Burial: Lincoln Memorial Park.
