The Marion Star, Marion, Ohio on Wednesday, June 15, 1949, Page 3. CARDINGTON - John Wesley Wornstaff, 76, of Cardington, died this morning at 7:10 following a ten week illness. Born December 20, 1872 in Delaware County, spending most of his life in and around Marengo, before moving to Cardington 23 years ago. Formerly a farmer, Mr. Wornstaff was the owner and operator of the Wornstaff Hotel in Cardington. He leaves his wife, Mae*; daughter, Mrs. Hall Smith of Millersport; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Graham and Mrs. Grant Lewis, both in Delaware. Curl Funeral Home to hold services 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial in Marlborough Cemetery. *Married in Greenup, Kentucky on Dec. 28, 1932 to Mae Bowman Couter. He was first married in Delaware County on July 10, 1895 to Lena M. Watters. She died in 1932.
