Kathleen Vitek, 72 of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 in Fort Worth. Kathleen Vitek passed away peacefully at Texas Health Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas on May 24, 2020 at the age of 71. She was born in Houston, Texas on August 31, 1948, and was raised by her loving parents, John and Gertrude Haw. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Heath, son-in-law Bobby Heath, and daughter-in-law Brook Vitek, along with her grandchildren: Jamie Gresham, Justin Gresham, Bree Vitek, Genifer Heath, Travis Heath, and her great grand-daughter Allison. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and John Warley, as well as two sisters-in-law, Lou Hodge and Liz Kubricht, and by numerous nieces and nephews. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gertrude Haw, her husband Edward Vitek, her son Justin Vitek, her sister-in-law Lois Maxwell, and brothers-in-law, Don Kubricht and Lorance Hodge. Kathleen was loved and will be missed by not only her family, but many close friends as well. She lived an active and positive lifestyle, despite having battled and survived cancer. Anyone that knew her also knew that the only thing she loved more than Texas Longhorns football was her chihuahua, Joy. Her family will miss family breakfasts, her sense of humor, her compassion, and their “feisty mama”. A visitation will take place at 10:00 AM, and a funeral mass will follow at 11:00AM on June 1, 2020 at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis, Texas.
