John Moses Harper III, 57, of Austin passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020. John Moses Harper III was born on May 21, 1963 in Taylor, Texas to Felix John Matl and Elizabeth Janek Matl. John was preceded in death by his father, Felix John Matl and mother, Elizabeth Janek Matl. Those left to cherish his memories are his sister, Elaine Campbell and husband Paul; brother, Larry Matl; two nieces; one nephew; several great nieces and nephews; and many other friends and family are also left to cherish his memory. A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Providence Funeral Home, with a rosary beginning at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger. I
