© Madison Star-Mail; Madison, Nebraska; Thursday, May 22, 1952, page 4 Final Rites for Frank Hoelscher Frank Hoelscher , 63, lifetime resident of Madison County passed away Sunday, May 11th, after along long illness. He was born February 5, 1889, and united in marriage to Mary S. Cook, February 21, 1916, at St. Francis Catholic church in Humphrey, Nebraska. To this union five children were born, Elmer, Madison, Mrs. John E. Taylor of Quanah, Texas, Eleanor, Plymouth, Michigan, Jerome, now stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and Lester, deceased. Mr. Hoelscher is survived by his wife; four children; seven grandchildren; five sisters, Miss Elizabeth, Hoelscher, Columbus, Mrs. Katherine Yilk, Hastings, Mrs. Frank Wellman, Cannon Falls, Minn., Mrs. Conrad Labens [Labenz], Genoa and Mrs. Frank [Clara] Holzfaster, Paxton and a step sister, Mrs. Annie Yilk, Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, a sister, a step brother and a son, Lester J. Hoelscher. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 14th at St. Leonard's Catholic church for Frank. Rev. L. J. Demers officiated at the requiem high mass. Burial was made in St. Leonard's cemetery. Pallbearers were William Dieter, Albin Cerny, Joseph Ridder, Albert Adelman, Richard Pfeifer and Frank Wagner.
