published in the Weekley Observer (McLoud, Oklahoma), 16 Mar 1911, pg 1 J W Terry, of this place was called to Shawnee on last Thursday on account of the death of his brother, George, living one and one half miles south of Shawnee, who died of pneumonia. We clip the following from the Shawnee Herald: George Terry was born in Grayson county, Kentucky, March 28th, 1887, being almost 44 years of age. Mr Terry was married to Miss Inez Eslick at Cedar Hill, Texas, December 25, 1887, and moved to Norman, then in Indian Territory in 1889. He has lived in Shawnee thirteen years, and was a good christian, citizen and neighbor. All who knew him respected him for his upright, honest dealing with men, and he will be greatly missed in the community. He leaves a wife and five children besides numerous other relatives to mourn his loss. The funeral took place yesterday evening and the body was laid to rest in Fairview cemetery.
