ossw Dora B. Fine
A graveside service for Leo "Lee" Fine, a resident of the Buxton area, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Fir Lawn Cemetery in Hillsboro. Mr. Fine died of cancer Sunday in a Portland hospital at the age of 80. Born July 27, 1912, in Binger, Okla, he was raised and schooled in Texas. He married Dora Belle Carnley on June 17, 1933, in Carlsbad, N.M. After moving to the Washington County area in 1946, Mr. Fine worked for the Buxton and Manning sawmills. He later worked for the Northwest Aggregate Co. until his retirement. His wife died in 1981. Survivors include his daughters, Dolores Conken of Twenty-Nine Palms, Calif., Marian Walker of Elma, Wash., and Linda Nickel of Hillsboro; son, Doyle of Banks; companion, Lucille Johnson of Forest Grove; sisters, Lavada Reed of Larned, Kan., and Jo Beth Fine of Texas; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Oregon division of the American Cancer Society. The Oregonian, page B6, Thursday, July 29, 1993 Contributor: (48409315)
