Bio

SHAMROCK - W.P. "Dub" Shipman, 81, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, in Wheeler. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Calvary Christian Fellowship Church with Joe G. Jernigan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Shipman married Dottie Charlotte Goode on June 25, 1947. He served as a Special Forces Ranger in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a prisoner of war held at Stalag 13.
