Obituary for Nelda Faye Wright Private family graveside services for Nelda Faye Campbell Wright, 87, of Gilmer will be held Sunday, April 26, 2020, at Lone Mountain Cemetery. Mrs. Wright passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020, in Gilmer. Nelda was born June 11, 1932, in the Lone Mountain Community to G. B. and Leslie Mae Shumate Campbell. She was married on May 21, 1949, in Harrison County to Neal Earnest Wright and worked for many years as a Private Duty Nurse in Home Healthcare. Known as “Grandmaw” to family, church and friends, she enjoyed spending time and visiting with everyone. Nelda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons-in-law, Mike Turner and Shawn Scott; a grandson, Destry Holcomb; a great granddaughter, Shawna Scott and numerous other relatives. Grandmaw is survived by her daughters, Gaynelle Turner, Amelia Scott; a son, Leon Wright; sisters, Gayle Campbell, Marylyn Murphy; twelve grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Donations may be made to the Family History Center at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gilmer, Texas.
