Bio

Mary Short, 54, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Monday, July 15, 2013, at the Columbus Community Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 10:00 A.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home with Lyn Hansen officiating. Interment will be in the All Saints Cemetery. Mary was born May 29th, 1959 in Ralston NE to Edward and Virginia Prososki. Mary attended Columbus High School and then went on to get her GED and attended some college in Columbus NE. Mary worked at Hewlett Packard of CO and BD's of Columbus NE. Mary enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandson (Kamryn) and family. She is survived by her husband Norman O. Short of Columbus, NE. Mary also leaves behind her daughter Tory, her grandson Kamryn, and son-in-law Lucas Carroll and her mother Virginia Laudenklos. She was preceded in death by her father Edward R. Prososki and a sister Norma Manriqutez. She is also survived by her brothers Edward (Butch) Prososki, Robert (Bob) Prososki, and sisters; Myra Lotspeich, Sandra Garcia, Renee Henry, Sharon Barrietos, LeeAnn Stewart, Tammy Laudenklos, and Stacey Laudenklos, and many nieces and nephews.
