BURGESS, TOMMIE RUTH, 80. Born on July 7, 1927 in Kaufman, TX went to be with our Lord, Jesus on August 11, 2007 in Plano, TX. Tommie was a caring and loving mother, grand-mother, great grand-mother and best friend to everyone she met. She always had a smile and a wonderful Christian spirit. She is survived by her children Mike and wife Janette Burgess of Grand Prairie and Judy Burgess Slider of Dallas, 6 Grandchildren and spouses, 8 Great-grandchildren, 4 brothers, 1 sister and countless nephews, nieces, and extended family she loved and that loved her. She is preceded in death by her husband Elbert Leon Burgess, her parents, 1 sister and 1 brother. Visitation will be Monday, August 13, 2007, from 6 to 8 pm at Grove Hill Memorial Park. Services will be on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 10:00 am Chapel at Grove Hill. The family expresses their sincere appreciation to Visiting Nursing Association of Kaufman. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Visiting Nursing Association at 102 West Grove Street, Kaufman, TX 75142 for their wonderful and supportive care of Nonie, Tommie Burgess.
