Ollie 'May' Coffman, 90 of Millville, died Aug. 4, 2007, at her son's home in Independence, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Coffman was born on March 14, 1917 in Millville to Thomas R. and Ollie (Branstetter) Snider. She married Carl "Lynn" Coffman of Millville on March 20, 1940. May was a graduate of Millville High School. She had worked at Lake City Arsenal and at the Johnson's Wee Village Market in Millville before her 20 plus years as bookkeeper for J. C. Penney's until retirement. She was a faithful member of the Millville United Methodist Church and had served in many capacities over the years. She enjoyed quilting and was a life-long Millville resident. Survivors include son and daughter in-law, Robert M. and Lana J. Coffman of Independence, MO; granddaughter and grandson in-law of Bates City, MO; two great-grandsons; two step-granddaughters and their husbands of Grain Valley, MO; three step-great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1990. Additionally, her parents, brother, Robert E. Snider, sister Lillian Creswell, and daughter in-law, Ellyn Coffman, preceded her in death. Visitation will be Aug. 7, 2007 at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Funeral services will be Aug. 8, 2007 at the Millville United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the New Hope Cemetery, north of Hardin. Arrangements are under the direction of Thurman's Funeral Home in Richmond. RICHMOND DAILY NEWS Richmond, MO 06/Aug/2007
