Loraine Richards Bradford, age 99, of the Redwine Cove community in Dalton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Gordon Health & Rehabilitation. Mrs. Bradford was born in Dalton on Wednesday, September 24, 1924, to the late Mr. George and Mrs. Alma Richards Wilson. Mrs. Bradford was a lifelong member of Swamp Creek Baptist Church and was a pillar within her church family. She retired from Dalton Industrial Systems as an accountant after a long and successful career in bookkeeping. Additionally, she was also a member of both the Order of the Eastern Star and the Carbondale Women's Club. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bradford is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. William 'Bill' Bradford. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Ms. Vera Richards, and her brother, Mr. Bo Wilson She is survived by her two sons, Don (Lanette) and Jon (Martha) Bradford; her grandchildren, Khristyal (Jennifer Ottinger), Colter (Tasha), and Cassidy Bradford, and Emily Vaughn; her great-grandchildren, Grady Bradford, Seaver and Easton Vaughn, Hailey (Destin Corvi) and Katelyn Mahan; and her great-great-grandchildren, Haistin and Easton Corvi, and Everleigh Shook. A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Loraine Richards Bradford will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. in the sanctuary of Swamp Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Wayne Marcus officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the church's cemetery following the service. Love Funeral Home
