Nancy Annette Brashears October 16, 1941 - January 1, 2018 Obituary for Nancy Annette Brashears Nancy Annette Cawthon Brashears passed away January 1, 2018, at age 76 surrounded by family and friends after a brief battle with cancer. Annette was born on October 16, 1941 to Barney and Ruby Cawthon of Oak Cliff, TX. She was a fireball, a talented singer, performer and beauty pageant winner. Amazingly, she sang perfect harmony at age 4 and performed on stage with her older sister, Janice, as the "Harmony Sisters" through high school. Annette graduated from Sunset High School in 1960 and married Bill Brashears on June 8, 1963. After moving to Midlothian in 1972, Annette became an entrepreneur with the Brashears' Paint Horse Farm (where 24 world champions were produced) and Brashears' German Shepherd business. She loved her red hair, painted nails, flashy clothes, her animals, but most of all her family. She was a loving wife, mother, MeMe, sister, aunt and friend. She loved and trusted the Lord Jesus as her Savior. Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Ruby Cawthon, sister, Janice Flynn and son, William Brent Brashears. She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Brashears, son, William Brannon Brashears, sister, Debbie Brooks and husband, Jerry, grandchildren, Joey, Jeremy, Joshua, Bostyn and Britysh Brashears and great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Brittany Potter of Cedar Hill and for the loving care that Annette received from the doctors and nursing staff at UT Southwestern Wm. P.
