Wilbur Nugent 89 years old, of Liberty, Texas passed away Sunday February 19, 2017 at Oakbend Medical Center in Richmond, Texas. Wilbur was a native of Liberty, Texas. He had moved from Daisetta, Texas to Liberty where he had lived most of his life. He was retired as a roughneck and had worked for Houston Oil & Minerals. Wilbur was preceded in death by his Parents: Alfred Nugent Jr. & Florence "Teene" Frances (Dagle) Nugent Taylor; 4 sisters and 1 brother. Survivors are Son: Sammie Nugent (Wife: Donna) of Liberty, Texas; Daughter: Sherlene Hicks (Husband Ken) of Liberty, Texas and Brother: James Nugent of Liberty, Texas. Grandchildren are: Sheree Spurlock (Husband: Dustin) of Huffman, Texas; Tammie Hunt (Husband: Rick) of Michigan; JoAnna Williamson (Husband: James) of San Antonio, Texas; Jeramie Nugent of Liberty, Texas; and Jodi Byrd (Husband: Mike) of Michigan. 15 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Serving as Pallbearers: James Williamson, Dustin Spurlock, Casey Williamson, Jeramie Nugent, Mike Byrd, and Jaden Nugent. Honorary Pallbearers: Bret Peak, Jacob Peak, Chad Hanks, Rick Hunt, and Jorden Spurlock.
