The Daily Telegram, September 28, 1960 JENNY--Funeral services Friday for Andrew Jenny Funeral services for Andrew Jenny, 64, Columbus will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran church with Rev. J. N. Slice officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Gass Funeral chapel from 11 a.m. Thursday until noon Friday, then at Trinity Lutheran church from 1 to 2 p.m. Mr. Jenny, ill the last six months, died Monday night in the Beebe Retirement home in Schuyler. A longtime resident of the Leigh community, he was born there May 22, 1896, the son of John R. and Anna Altman Jenny. He received his education in the rural schools. Mr. Jenny farmed at Leigh for many years and operated a feed and seed store in Leigh for about five years before moving to Columbus in 1955. He had served on the Creston township board and Platte county District 43 school board. A former member of St. John's Lutheran church at Leigh, he transferred his membership to Trinity Lutheran church upon coming to Columbus. Mr. Jenny married Olga Loseke on Feb. 25, 1918 at Leigh. She preceded him in death Sept. 5, 1958. Surviving are five children, Mrs. Ray (Pearl) Delaney of Blair, Jerome Jenny of Blair, Mrs. Ray (Bernice) Gronek of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Henry (Darlene) Hefti of Clarkson and Elmer Jenny, USN, Jacksonville, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; four brothers, Henry of Leigh, Rudy of Columbus, Baltzar of Creston and Ernst of Norfolk. Besides his wife, Mr. Jenny was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
