Paul Arthur Lamparter, 65, died at 3:42 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at his residence. He was born August 24, 1949 in Alton the son of the late Paul Herbert and Lillian (Mundy) Lamparter. He served in the U.S. Army and was employed as a steel worker for Laclede Steel. He was a member of the VFW Post 1308. He survived by two daughters, Susan Hitchcock (Salvador) of South Roxana, and Jennifer Garcia (Michael) of Granite City, one son, Christopher Lamparter of Alton, five grandchildren, Taylor Hitchcock, Emily, Kyle and Troy Garcia, and Erik Lampater, one sister, Vicky Skelton (Merle). He was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Lamparter. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be private.
