Narcissa, daughter of Morgan Gilbert Denman and Nancy Elizabeth Hutchinson Gray, was born about 1828 in Mississippi. She married Joel Alsup in Monroe County, Mississippi on 28 Feb 1844. They had three children: Sarah F. Alsup, born 1852 in Mississippi; Virgil S. Alsup, bor 1855 in Gonzales County, Texas; and Josephine Alsup, born 29 Aug 1857 in Bastrop County. Texas.
