Patricia Boss, 89, formerly of Columbus, Nebraska, died Saturday, February 15, 2020, at York General Hearthstone in York, Nebraska. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, at 10:30 AM, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor Wayne Nestor officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Wednesday, from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Columbus Public Library. Patricia A. Boss was born on December 9, 1930, to Burrell & Myra (Karsten) Doyle, in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended school in Omaha and graduated from Omaha Central High School in 1948. In 1952, Patricia graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Home Economics, and later that year, she moved to Columbus. Patricia went to work for Minnegasco in Columbus, where she met Raymond Boss. On January 15, 1955, Patricia was united in marriage to Raymond Boss in Omaha. Through the years, she worked at Minnegasco, McChristy Jewelers, and Vishay Dale Electronics. In 2016, she moved to York to be near her daughter. Patricia was an avid book reader, enjoyed sewing, doing cross stitch, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Patricia is survived by: Daughter: Cindy (Kent) Franzen of Henderson, NE Son: Stuart Boss of Columbus, NE Three Grandchildren Six Great Grandchildren Sister: JoAnn Ellis of Point Richmond, CA Patricia was preceded in death by: Parents: Burrell & Myra Doyle Husband: Raymond Boss
