Angela Mendlik Dostal Dvorak, 103, of Howells, passed away November 11, 2018 at Parkview Nursing Home in Dodge, NE. Angela was born on May 12, 1915 in Colfax County to John and Paulina(Kempf) Mendlik of Dodge, Ne. She went to school in St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and graduated from Dodge Public School in 1934. Angela was united in marriage to Leonard Dostal on April 20, 1937 in St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. Leonard passed away December 10, 1964. Then she married Ed Dvorak on June 6, 1966 in St. James Catholic Church by Reverend Jerome Dickes in Omaha, Ne. Ed passed away May 29, 1982. Angela did a lot of baby sitting and was also a seamstress. After Ed died, she went to work as a seamstress at Parkview Nursing Home in Dodge, for 7 years and retired in 1991. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Alter Society and a card club. Angela is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husbands: Leonard Dostal and Ed Dvorak; her parents: John and Paulina Mendlik; 5 brothers: Frank, John, Adolph, Joe and Leonard; 2 sisters: Marie Mestl and Theresa Balak.
