Obituary from The Frontier and Holt County Independent, June 20, 1947 E.A. Edmisten, a resident of the Page community for the past 25 years, died at St. Vincent's hospital in Sioux City on Wednesday morning, June 18th, at ten o'clock. He has been ill for the past three months with heart trouble and on Tuesday was taken to Sioux City for medical care, where he passed away the following day. Funeral services will be held at the home north of Page on Friday, June 20th at 2:00 o'clock with Rev. Lloyd W. Mullis of this city in charge of the services and burial following in the Page Cemetery. Elba Abraham Edmisten was born at Brock, Nebraska on May 21, 1876 and at the time of his death was 71 years and 29 days of age. He was united in marriage to Hester Worrell at Tecumseh, Nebraska on October 31, 1901. To them one son and three daughters were born. The children are: Mrs. Carla Bolin, Lincoln; Mrs. Irene Wood, Page; Elmer Edmisten, Bartlett; and Mrs. Lydia Backer, North Platte. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, the above named children, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and one brother, John Edmisten, Lincoln. Mr. Edmisten came to Holt County from Johnson County, Nebraska on February 23 1921, settling on a farm north of Page, where he has since made his home.
